La maison des Connors est cambriolée et Sarah part en quête des biens qu'on lui a volé. Cromarti remonte peu à peu jusqu'à John en suivant la trace de Cameron tendis qu'un second Terminator tente de tuer Ellison.

Un symbole inscrit parmis la liste de noms sur le mur du garage conduit Sarah jusqu'à une entreprise d'informatique. Elle est alors persuadé d'avoir retrouvé la trace du "Turk" mais Derek reste sceptique. Ellison enquête sur la mort supposée accidentelle d'un membre de l'équipe de Weaver: le docteur Sherman. Jesse expose quand à elle les vraies raisons de son retour à Derek.

La nuit Cameron se rend à la bibliothèque municipale où elle rejoint Eric, le gardien des lieux. Alors qu'elle explore les lieux elle tombe sur une photographie datant des années 20 sur laquelle elle reconnaît un Terminator. Se doutant que quelque chose ne colle pas, Cameron assisté par Eric, mène son enquête. Pendant ce temps John reçoit un coup de téléphone inquiétant de la part de Riley.
